Dr. Lukasz Soswa, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Soswa earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Illinois in 2005. He graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC in 2009. Dr. Soswa then completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at UBC in 2014. He completed combined fellowships in Orthopaedic Trauma and Lower Limb Reconstruction, as well as Foot & Ankle Surgery at the Royal Columbian Hospital in Coquitlam, BC in 2015.

Dr. Soswa joined the staff at Langley Memorial Hospital in 2016 as a member of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. In addition to general orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Soswa has subspecialty interest and expertise in lower limb arthroplasty, surgical management of the foot and ankle, arthroscopic shoulder and knee reconstruction, and a variety of hand procedures. Dr. Soswa performs a substantial volume of trauma surgery and this encompasses 50% of his current practice.

Dr. Soswa. Is involved with teaching medical students as a UBC Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedics and has published papers and continues to be involved in the research. Dr. Soswa remains up to date with active participation in numerous orthopaedic conferences and seminars.
